PURPOSE:
Allows the holder of a club license to sell and serve spirituous liquor for consumption only on the premises owned, leased or occupied by the club, and only to bona fide members of the club and their guests.
ADDITIONAL RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A "club" is defined in the statutes as including veterans and fraternal organizations and their building associations, golf, social and airline clubs. See ARS 4-101(6) for the complete definition.
No member, officer, AGENT or employee of a club licensee may be paid or receive compensation from the profits of the distribution or sale of spirituous liquor over and above an already fixed salary as allocated from the general revenue of the licensee.
On any original applications, new managers and/or the person responsible for the day-to-day operations must attend a basic and management training class.
A PREGNANCY WARNING SIGN for pregnant women consuming spirituous liquor must be posted within twenty (20) feet of the cash register or behind the bar.
A log must be kept by the licensee of all persons employed at the premises including each employee's name, date and place of birth, address and responsibilities.
AVERAGE APPROVAL TIME: Sixty-five (65) to one-hundred five (105) days.
PERIOD OF ISSUANCE: One (1) year with option to renew.
